A : The Buyer or the Seller (or both) can hire a Home Inspector.

A : For the Seller it can mean saving money on repairs and avoiding delays in closing.  For the
Buyer it can result in avoiding future repair costs and provide piece of mind that the house is
in good condition.  For the Realtor it can mean happy clients, more referrals and reduced risk
of litigation.

Q : How much does a Home Inspection cost?
A : Inspection fees range from $150 to a few hundred dollars depending on the size of the
house.  Always agree on a fee upfront.

Q : How do you find a good Home Inspector?
A : Ask your Realtor or Mortgage Broker to recommend one or access a Web based database
such as the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI).  Watch out for
inspectors that also do repairs; this could be a conflict of interest.
